With the 2012 NFL Draft just a few days from now, trade rumors are circulating around social media sites and while most are just thought up by fans and media looking for some exposure, there are some that make sense and could prove valuable for both teams.
The latest football trade rumor from Eli Nachmany of Bleacher Report has Houston Texans running back on the trading block and the Cleveland Browns as one of the teams interested in his services.
Tate backed up Arian Foster this past season and filled in for two games as a starter. With over 900 yards rushing and four touchdowns, the youngster could find himself as a starter if the Texans can work out a deal before the draft.
Cleveland let Peyton Hillis leave via free agency and the team has limited depth on their roster, but a deal for a back that averaged 5.4 yards per carry last season and a decent threat in passing situations, could have the Browns using their first round draft pick to acquire a solid wide receiver.
Houston has one of the best backs in the NFL with Foster and dealing Tate can land the team some depth with a couple extra draft picks. Both teams could actually benefit from this deal and with the Browns looking to add some skill players on offense, this is one deal that could happen before the start of the 2012-13 season.
