Queen Elizabeth gave Camilla a huge anniversary present. She has been married to heir to the throne, Prince Charles, for seven years, and the Queen made her the Dame Grand Cross, which is the highest rank for a woman in the Royal Victorian Order.
It seems that Queen Elizabeth is dead set against making the same mistakes this time around that she made with Charles and Diana. Her recent actions with Kate Middleton and Prince William have spoken to that, but this new title for Camilla also shows that she is working to make sure there is family harmony.
Prince Charles and Camilla married on April 9, 2005, and since then she has obviously become indispensable to the royal family. Most recently she has guided Kate Middleton when Prince William was away for six weeks.
Both Camilla and Prince Charles must be thrilled at Queen Elizabeth's recognition of her work on behalf of the royal family. What a beautiful way to celebrate the couple's seventh anniversary.
