'Bones' Season 7 Episode 9 'The Don't in the Do' Preview: Brennan's Body After Baby

Bones season 7 continues next week with episode 9, "The Don't in the Do," and while the episode is going to feature a case, there are some amusing moments coming up in the subplot of the episode concerning Brennan and what Sweets has to say when it comes to this storyline.

"When a corpse is found at a landfill, dyed in a blue substance, intern Arastoo Vaziri (guest star Pej Vahdat) discovers a method that helps eliminate postmortem damages to the corpse, which leads the team back to a hair salon where the victim worked. Meanwhile Bones is feeling uncomfortable in her post-baby body, so Booth decides to do something special to boost her self-confidence."

As "The Bump in the Road" showed, while Brennan may know rationally that one thing is true, her maternal side still wins out sometimes, and it looks like in the next episode, her feminine side is going to win out as well when she deals with her body not being what it was before her pregnancy.

The Bones season 7 episode 9 promo for "The Don't in the Do" (below) begins by focusing on the case. It shows them at the crime scene and talking to someone about their victim. This woman tells them "there was nothing like getting blown out by Santiago." It sounds like this was one hairdresser that was probably high in demand—and not just in the salon—if her reaction is anything to go by. Could the motive of this case be jealousy? Was someone angry because of the attention Santiago was getting? Could a client's husband have been mad enough to kill after a reaction similar to this woman's?

The rest of the promo is about Brennan dealing with her body. She's going to be getting some spa treatments, but she's still worried about what she looks like after giving birth. While some of what Booth says may not help, he is going to be trying to do something to help. Sweets tells him "women love lingerie" as they enter a shop, and perhaps that should have been the last thing he says. Booth explains to the shop worker that Brennan just had a baby, and when the woman asks, "Are we talking apples or melons?" Sweets responds with "mangos." Unsurprisingly, Booth doesn't like that he's "looking at her fruit," and Sweets has nothing to say to defend himself. Sweets just wanted to be friends with Booth, but he's already been told no to soccer, and after this trip, he's probably going to be out something else as well.
