Who is Carly Rae Jepsen? Justin Bieber signed the 26-year-old Canadian artist as a protegÃ© in an effort to boost her career. If anyone understands the nature of the music industry, it is Bieber himself. In the spoof, Selena Gomez even appears lending her stamp of approval. This silly Youtube video might be better than the real video!

In hopes the Biebs can pay the favor forward, he helped Carley Rae Jepsen become an overnight success. With her hit Call Me Maybe, Jepsen has broadened her audience beyond Canada.

According to DailyMail, Carly Rae said 'It's hard to believe at the moment. It's definitely a surreal life that I'm in right now, but I'm enjoying every second of it. It's pretty crazy."

Crazy indeed! Imagine getting started in the music industry and then suddenly becoming a favorite of Justin Bieber himself? What a great guy Biebs is. Since he was signed by another successful recording artist at the beginning of his career, Carly Rae Jepsen has the ability to follow in his footsteps.
