Hope
Wrapped in starlit eyes
Kissed by love
On dark cold nights
Fierce enemies in disguise
As angels of light
Twisting your soul
Brandishing swords
Breathing fire
Love stronger than death
Shields the torment
Resurrects the hope
Lifts you high
A banner in sunlight
Bathed in glory
A victory to faith
Hope

Thanks for sharing with Resurrection at the Triple Name Club.
I will be responding to your e-card reply SOON :)
I'm so sorry I didn't comment sooner but my computer caught a virus and was sick this week.
I'm so glad you came by, Patricia. Your enthusiasm means a lot to me!!
Thank you :)
I loved these lines:
"Love stronger than death
Shields the torment
Resurrects the hope
Lifts you high"
A few comments...using color is a strong statement; Red signifies anger or passion, blue is restive, orange in stimulating, yellow can mean cowardice or happiness. Green symbolizes life, growth, renewal, so it is the perfect choice for your poem. You use it perfectly...the whole poem in color, not one color here another word colored there...making something beautiful look less than that.
With such a loving poem and tribute to one you revere, I'd use a softer font...one where the letter are thinner and more elegant...something in cursive perhaps...something more feminine...I love Olive Oil and I usually italicize. These are just technical considerations, but they do set the expectations the reader has for the poem as he chooses to read it.
The poem is stunning.
I changed the poem to your suggestions, just for now, see what you think!
HOPE is such a strong, invigorating and inspiring belief and emotion. It warrants a bold presentation in my thinking.
Thank you for your kind suggestions and generous comment!
When I first joined gather I had never written anything at all, nor read poetry. Gather provided social interacting for me, and I made many friends. Life gets busy, circumstances change, and gather is not the place it used to be. Still, I enjoy keeping in touch with friends who have remained here.
Did you like the 'new' presentation of 'Hope' better??
tell me which...I wouldn't post the email address here if you want to go that route...Gather mail is best for that...
