Is Britney Spears' fiance, Jason Trawick, about to take over the pop star's finances? If he does, it could spell the end of her conservatorship, right? Not so fast.
According to reports, Britney's lawyers are seeking to add Jason Trawick to Spears' conservatorship as a co-conservator. If Jason is added, he will have a hand in controlling Spears' money... or not. The reports say that Jason will only be able to advise on her "general well-being," but he won't have his hand in her money.
Still, this could be a great step toward Britney Spears getting control of her life back. Jason and Britney were engaged just this past December. Obviously, given Britney's marriage history, giving Trawick full control over the "Hold it Against Me" singer's cash stash could be dangerous.
Still, if he is going to be in a committed, long-term relationship with Spears, it is better to have at least some control over the cashflow than to have someone else control the purse strings (and everything else in their marriage for that matter). One thing is clear, Britney's father, also a co-conservator, is behind the move.
