Aishwarya Rai and husband Abhishek Bachchan welcomed their new baby girl, Aaradhya into the world just a few short months ago. The question is, is the baby (often called Betty B) actually named Aaradhya, or are Aishwarya and Abhishek publicly shunning the name?
It turns out that several media outlets, who have covered Aishwarya and her baby, were sent a congratulatory box of chocolates. Consider the gesture like passing out blue or pink cigars. Of course, the baby announcement came without the baby's supposed name of 'Aaradhya' even listed. No, the card sent all over India simply listed in vague terms a congratulations for the granddaughter of Jaya and Amitabh Bachchan and the daughter of Abhishek and Aishwarya. Talk about strange.
Did they purposefully leave the baby name off the card to create more drama and intrigue around Betty B or Aaradhya or whatever her name is? Is the baby even a girl at this point? For a family who was trying not to make a media circus about a baby name, Aishwarya Rai's family certainly is doing a great job of turning this whole thing into Ringling Brothers. This baby may be the most hyped 4-month-old child in the world and still the media in India have no certainty over Aishwarya Rai's child's name. What a fiasco... hope you enjoy those chocolates!
