John Cena has now lost in two straight Wrestlemania main events. He was on the losing side two years ago during WM27, when The Rock got involved. The Miz came out victorious with the WWE Championship. Then, less than a week ago, Cena once again lost, this time to The Rock, a guy who hasn't been a regular part of WWE for some time. So what's next for John Cena at WM29?
Right now, Cena seems to have his hands full with another big challenge in Brock Lesnar. He most likely will have a feud with Brock for several weeks, shows and Pay-Per-Views. It's going to be interesting to see whether this feud helps re-establish Cena or Brock in the process.
As for Wrestlemania 29, the rumors going around now from places like Bleacher Report, is that a John Cena vs. Undertaker match could come about at the next Mania. These guys had a feud back on Smackdown, when Cena was United States Champion (see video below). Some feel making this match for the next Wrestlemania is a great move, while others really despise the idea. The knock is that Cena just wouldn't match up well with Undertaker in the ring at this point in their career. One guy still has plenty left as far as his career, while the other is one match or so away from calling it quits. Then there's the whole matter of "The Streak."
Would Cena get even more hate if he were the one to end the streak? Most definitely. So it is probably a bad idea to put him in a third straight situation where he would lose, and even worse, a situation where if he won, he'd feel the wrath of fans for eternity. So a John Cena vs. Undertaker match probably won't be happening at Wrestlemania 29, and if it does, expect Cena to be 0-3 in his last 3 Manias.
