Good things just keep happening to Justin Bieber. He's already racked up numerous awards for his music. He'll soon get to bring home another one.
On April 27, the Tribeca Film Festival will honor him, along with manager Scooter Braun, for being the "first major discovery of an artist on YouTube." Scooter Braun is the man who discovered the singer on YouTube and led him on the path of stardom.
According to the Tribeca Film Festival, the videos that the singer made "led to an unprecedented success story that disrupted the traditional gatekeepers of the music industry." As all of his fans know, the singer started out in the industry by recording himself covering songs by major artists and posting them on the video site.
The singer, who has more than 18 million Twitter followers and 41 million Facebook fans, will also being honored for his smart use of social media to connect with and attract new fans.
Hopefully, Justin Bieber will bring along adorable girlfriend Selena Gomez to the awards show. Seeing her in the audience clapping as he accepts his award will surely make his night that much better.
