The Bachelor star Emily O'Brien is now reflecting over her appearance on the show, where she participated with 24 other women to get Ben Flajnik's attention. However, it was clear that he only had eyes for Courtney and was quick to send women home week after week. After the show ended, the women had a chance to see what manipulative ways Courtney won Ben's heart and after some reflection, Emily is now wishing she had done things different on the show.
In a recent interview with the blog, The Possessionista, Emily reveals that she would have made lots of different strategic moves to stand out, both for Ben and for viewers. "I would have taken a few more risks, accessorized more boldly, worn more patterns. I think I played it a little too safe," she explains. Emily became known as the Bachelor woman who constantly tried to warn Ben about Courtney, essentially wasting her time getting to know Ben.
Ben, on the other hand, wasn't happy with Emily bashing the one model he wanted to date and propose to, so once she warned him once it seemed like Ben was done with her. Despite keeping her around a few extra weeks, it was clear that the relationship was ruined. So what would Emily have done differently? Well, her style was one thing—she could upstage Ben. "Ben's style is a lot like his personality: laid-back, variegated, refined. Overall, the man is exceptionally well-dressed," she explains, yet she would have loved to have worn prints and bold colors to stand out.
Do you think Emily's changes would have changed Ben's final decision?
