I always thought that Greek medicine was a roasted leg of lamb on a lettuce leaf. lol

I believe that the ancient Greeks used garlic as a medicine. Galen was Roman. I don't know why the National Library of Medicine classified him under "Greek Medicine".

There are still people today who favor the use of garlic as a healing food. It is a home remedy.

Works very well as a salt alternative. A sprig of mint leaves will take care of the odor. Excellent for folk who have a problem with sodium intake.
