Shedding Light, First Wave - Spring 2012 - Clouds

There were so many good assignments and I have grown through them.  I think my favorite one was this one - "Clouds of Light" .... June 5, 2011.

 

I took these photos of the clouds last July 25th.  The sky was a kind of miracle and the light in these photos still reminds me of the feeling I had.

These clouds sent a message of reassurance and comfort to me during a hard time which was the beginning of my divorce.  Now that I look back on that time I see that it was a journey of discovery.

I was discovering my true feelings and having the courage to express them.

See what you think when you look at these clouds.  I hope they reassure you, too.

Clouds ...

The golden light within
speaks of home
that place of the heart
to which we are mapped

Even when alone
the lovelight shines
our precious memories
in clouds enwrapped

In a moment's breath
All miracles are found
with an open hand
I spring the trap.

We always carry our home and happiness within, if only we would know it...beautifully expressed, Stirling. I do remember this poem and photos and am glad you brought them back for us to enjoy again. I am a cloud-lover, too.

I love the Shedding Light prompts and wish I had hopped into the group earlier. I didn't feel I could commit at that time. And I still haven't done my last winter assignment...

Stirling, I remember this post well as I was so inspired by your words and the images. The emotions contained in the lines swell and fill my soul.

Stirling - this poem says so much to me. You've chosen words right from your heart and they resonate - so many images - feelings - old memories in clouds. I like to think of clouds at heaven. As beautifully written and felt this time as the last...Namaste.

I don't know how others do it. I just went into the post I liked and highlighted what I wanted to copy - pressed CTRL-C (copy). Then I opened a new post, typed in a title for it, and in the body of the post - pressed CTRL-V (paste). I was surprised, actually, that it worked, considering the way Gather sometimes behaves. Good luck!
