Adam Levine, Maroon 5 frontman and coach on The Voice, is now a single man. He and long time girlfriend Anne V have parted ways. The break-up is reportedly an amicable one.
According to a report from Just Jared, the two have been together since they met in early 2012 at an event where Adam was performing with Maroon 5. Anne V went on to appear in two music videos with the band, including Misery and Never Gonna Leave This Bed.
The Sports Illustrated model had the following to say about the split to a People magazine reporter.
"Adam and I have decided to separate in an amicable and supportive manner. We still love and respect each other as friends. I wish him all the best," she says.
Why do famous people always say that? If they loved and supported each other so much, why then are they splitting up? It's almost as though each party fears their fan base will drop down a notch or two if someone discovers they're no longer with their significant other. This, in turn, reduces some of these relationships to business arrangements. No wonder so many Hollywood relationships fail!
Adam Levine's career has been on a roll for a long time now, and with the second season of The Voice, is likely at an all time high. Could it simply be he didn't have the time needed to devote to a relationship? For now fans have no choice but to take the split at face value. It will be interesting to hear what Maroon 5 sings about in the near future. Maybe Adam will unload his angst in the form of a song.
At least that's a healthy outlet!
