The NBA trade deadline passed last month and no big trades were made, but the LA Lakers might be wishing they had moved their young center as Andrew Bynum has become a distraction on and off the floor in recent weeks.
Bynum was benched last week after shooting a three-point shot in a close game, and instead of learning from his mistakes, he seems uninterested and immature with his most recent comments taking center stage.
The LA Daily News reported that the All-Star center has been rude to both players and staff members of the franchise. Bynum also told reporters he doesn't take part in team huddles during time outs, and that kind of disrespect will hurt this team as they prepare for the upcoming playoffs.
The NBA is full of divas, but on a team with veteran Kobe Bryant and Pau Gasol, one would think the youngster would get better guidance, but his most recent actions could lead to changes after the season is over, and that could be sooner than expected as this team unravels under first-year head coach Mike Brown.
