Pippa Middleton believes in a healthy start to the day and that's one of the reasons she supports the charity Magic Breakfast. When the sister of Kate Middleton, the Duchess of Cambridge, went on a 56-mile cross-country ski race in Sweden with her brother, James, they wanted to help hungry children get free breakfasts in schools throughout the UK. The sporty Pippa has been in the news more about what her relationship with George Percy involves, but she's in the headlines again for a very important reason. She's thanking those who sponsored her in the Vasaloppet charity race.
Pippa Middleton said:
"We made it! James and I just wanted to say a huge thank you for your incredible support for our cross-country ski challenge in Sweden.
"We are truly grateful and appreciate the kindness and generosity you have all shown.
"It was one of the best sporting adventures we have both participated in and we couldn't have enjoyed it more."
Pippa ended up 412th place in the women's division and was timed at 7 hours, 13 minutes, and 36 seconds. James finished 26 minutes earlier than his sister.
Pippa added that she and her brother had porridge at 6:00 a.m. the morning of the race.
She wrote:
"Incidentally, it was porridge that morning at 6am that helped us make it to the finish line, so we couldn't be bigger fans of a hearty breakfast!"
Pippa Middleton may have just promoted porridge since everything she and her sister, Kate, do gets global attention. She believes in starting the day out right and eating healthy. With so many women wanting to be fit like the svelte 28-year-old Pippa, will there be a surge in porridge consumption?
