I WANT a Kindle Fire & mTurk is going to...

I received my mTurk quarterly statement this morning and I made $36.73 for the quarter, that is diddly & I know I have been slacking w/ mTurk because I have been busy with other things, but I have to manage my time better and make time to do a little mTurk every day, so I can get my KINDLE Fire!

I really like the Kindle DX but itâ€™s double the price!Â So I am on a mission =) LOL

In case you don't know about mTurk (here is the link), I copied their overview (see below).Â If you are looking to make a little extra cash this may be something for you. If you have an Amazon account it is the same login as your Amazon account.

What types of tasks do you like to do?

alot of surveys for college students and departments... they are pretty quick and usually a buck or more, I have one that I try to do every week 2x when they are posted and that's the Movie Enquirer, who pays super good usually at least 2 bucks a hit, sometimes more, for looking up movies that you are available on demand from your cable provider... have done other things like "catalog descriptions" for an online retailer ...

I love my lap top but sometimes at night I just want to go online or read or play a game... which I could do on the Kindle... and not have to worry about falling asleep with my lap top on!

Thanks William, I fell asleep with my laptop in November and it overheated and fried the hard drive, my bff sent me a link on FB about a young man who fell asleep studying with his laptop on and it overheated, started a fire on his bed and sadly he died.. so I am afraid to fall asleep with it on and now I am extra careful not to!

Never heard of mTurk, but I did sign up~thanx for the link! Noticed a lot of the HITS don't pay, so not sure what I'll do there. You'll love the K-Fire~my ex got one after I got the Touch for Xmas from my kids. Now I want one, it's pretty cool~Good Luck!

I've been doing Mturk for over a year now and have made a total of 533.71. I love the article writing tasks best - I can make a buck on up to seven dollars depending on the tasker and length. Plus, those psychology surveys -esp. the ones that are no more than 10 or 15 minutes - are another good way to tack on a few dollars. I have 76.33 in my account now - I'm waiting until I get to the 150 mark for a sideboard I want for the kitchen that's sold at amazon. I could put the money in my bank, but I buy almost everything at Amazon so I just transfer it to whatever I am purchasing.
Even those little low paying tasks - the .02 cents ones - if you do enough quickly the dollars add up fast.

I absolutely love mturk... I am up over 50 right now, I have been trying to do at least a little everyday... I have done some of the writing tasks. I have made a total of $455.23, I started in 2009 and made a whopping 13.93, didn't do any 2010, really started working it last winter and I work harder when I want something and have time..

I've only done mturk a few times over the years. Interesting that a lot of the paid to click type sites now have the same tasks to earn with. I should take more time to do them. I did enjoy the extra amazon credit when ordering

I don't like the tasks on the other sites, like swagbucks or inbox dollars, I can never get them right and it takes too long to make 2 cents... mturk I do the ones I like, I do a lot of surveys for college departments, and I have a few that send me emails and invite me for hits.
