[OPINION] "Never say 'never'," as the old adage goes. There are some things we think we'll never do and writing an article about the Trayvon shooting was one of mine. I figured there'd be more than enough piling-on of that radical Left rebel rowsing. Unbelievably, with all that's been said there's still more to say.
Have you asked yourself how this case suddenly became the radical Left's latest prime time racial battlecry?
Of Team Obama's mainstream media propaganda, it isn't surprising that ABC News claims to have "uncovered" the Trayvon Martin case on March 16th, three-weeks after the shooting. Nor should it be surprising that NBC News edited Zimmerman's 911 call, leaving the impression that Zimmerman's motives were racially motivated when they were not. As we could expect, MSNBC was reportedly caught lying to make their reports more inflammatory.
"Unfortunately, some individuals and organizations have used this tragedy to further their own causes and agendas. George is a Spanish-speaking minority with many black family members and friends. He would be the last to discriminate for any reason whatsoever," Robert Zimmerman wrote. [The Christian Science Monitor]
The disinformation being generated to inflame racial divide in our country is appalling. What's more appalling is an American president trying to push that racial divide envelope beyond the edge of all human decency. THAT is America's real problem.
This article isn't about Trayvon Martin and George Zimmerman. This article is about a radical Left political machine that works to incite racial violence when race has nothing to do with what they are pushing. Drug pushers don't push drugs because they believe life is more wholesome with them. They do it for the drug money. People hooked on the drugs are the suckers.
Inciting racism for political gain is no different than selling drugs for money. It takes both, pushers of the product and suckers that are hooked on the product. Has Team Obama made a sucker of you?
This case is textbook Saul Alinsky "community organizing." Obama is a Saul Alinksy understudy. Obama's only credentials coming into his presidency were of a Chicago community organizer. Remarks about Trayvon looking like 'his' son was a way to personalize it and push people's buttons. That IS what community organizers do.

What Did The Left Actually Get Out Of The Zimmerman-Martin Case?
March 30, 2012 - When they heard the name “George Zimmerman†of Florida, the Left immediately thought they had ... a runaway from the Democrat’s Jewish plantation (Bob Dylan’s real name is Zimmerman after all) who had gone NRA gun-toting Republican TEA partier on them.
They were wrong. George Zimmerman is a 28 year-old self identified brown skinned Hispanic Democrat who they wish was an NRA member. He tutors black children in his home and is not a TEA partier.
They looked at the picture of Trayvon Martin and fooled themselves into believing he was an angelic youth headed for Harvard someday. Instead, they got a budding thug who had a series of scrapes with authorities that included possession of burglary tools and drug possession.
They thought they could find evidence that Zimmerman was on top of Martin punching him and calling him the “N†word. Instead, they have an eyewitness backing up Zimmerman’s claim of self defense, and the “N†charge is just a dream.
They thought his neighbors would tell reporters Zimmerman hated blacks. Instead, they have a black character witness for Zimmerman and his black friends and family.
They thought they would have a white police chief who would kiss their feet to keep peace – and his job. They lost that on day two. They now have a black chief, so that angle is gone.
They thought they would have two justifiably shell-shocked parents who would do whatever they were told. Instead, they got a pair of opportunists who have even less shame than would-be Puppet Masters Sharpton and Jackson. They have copyrighted their son’s name and quit their jobs to promote the sale of “Trayvon†merchandise.
They thought they could bring in the Black Panthers to scare white people, then go away. Instead, they got the Panthers putting a bounty on Zimmerman and threatening to burn down Detroit.
They thought Zimmerman would be living in a “Lilly White†gated fortress that screamed “minorities keep out.†Instead, they got a community that is more than half “minority.â€
They thought they could get black celebrities to jump in and add strength and lust to their circus of lies. Instead, they got a dimwitted Spike Lee tweeting a wrong address for the lynch mob to descend upon, and Lee is now on his way to a nasty losing lawsuit.
They thought they could get a bunch of black high school kids to peacefully march and protest what had happened to “Brother Trayvon.†What they got was a pack of wilding animals who ransacked a Walgreens after their march.
Now they are all so eager to wear hoodies to show that they are “down for the struggle.†Do you want to bet the hoodies end up being made in non-union sweatshops in some third world country?

The Mayor's calculated response to Jose Garcia's death led the public and the media to conclude that the shooting had been unjustified. Sensing political advantage, he rushed to Washington Heights, along with Manhattan Borough President Ruth Messinger, to pose with Mr. Garcia's relatives and perpetuate characterizations of Mr. Garcia as an innocent bodega worker victimized by the police."

Ahhh, 1992, when America's core was still bound by a thread of "accountability." How far American black leaders have "progressed" since then, huh? My son-in-law was from Washington Heights, I remember Dinkins well.
Yeah ... the dream murder; almost like it just fell into their laps from heaven. But of course it didn't, wasn't, and can never be anyone's dream; unless you are looking for a scapegoat to carry your party back into the oval office.
I think that just made people mad ... brought up all that other old stuff too like the billy club guy in front of the polling place 2008 ... Kindof blew apart the mantra they tried to sell us back then that the Black Panthers were has beens, peaceful, helpers in the community ... turns out they just thugs with the same thug mentality they always had.
In fact ... guess I must have missed it ... was there any outrage over their threats? Or was it just another day in the life ?
Those bent on race hate live in the moment, whatever it takes for that moment's hate is their pleasure. I doubt if those raging in the streets gave the threats to burn down Detroit a second thought. And I suspect the Race Baiter In Chief knows that of them.

Common sense dictates if Lee's address had been correct, Team Obama might've had a real racial killing and the upheaval that would go with it.
What Lee did was pure racist ignorance (if not more diabolical, I understand he contributed substantially to Obama's campaign). AND it was dangerous arrogance. What makes a racist feel so overly confident in their racism that they think they have a right TO do such a thing? We know that answer.

News reports say Obama thinks this will garner him votes in November. Logic dictates he thinks black votes. If anything, I think he's turned away black and white supporters that othewise might have. Or I just have too much faith in Americans?

Please read the snippets pasted under Del above, that explains. The link in the article does more. I lived in NY when Sharpton was at his peak, during the Brawley case. No reasonable person there took him seriously and most knew the facts of that case were grossly awry. It's as likely IMO that he or his kind helped set up the scenario? Sharpton et al are serving a bigger-to-them purpose now. They are more pawns in the bigger Radical Left Game we've seen unfolding under this administration.

According to Zimmerman, Trayvon saw the gun and told GZ (to the effect), "you have a piece you die tonight." Zimmerman only pulled the gun to keep it from being taken and used against him. If that is the case, that is self-defense. According to an impartial witness, Trayvon was atop GZ doing the beating. Why would anyone want a man punished before even knowing what the truth of the facts are?
Why do people prefer to believe one set of rumors over another, against GZ? Do you sincerely believe the Police Department's intent is to "bury facts?" Why would they?
I'm not being critical, I sincerely want to understand why people would jump to one set of unfounded conclusions over another; and how they think that possibly helps anyone made a victim of this tragic situation?

I'm not sure what you're referring to about the police not releasing info? ABC cited the killing on Feb 26; Trayvon's parents asked for results on Mar 9th (2-wks later); and ABC supposedly "uncovered" the story March 16th (1-wk after that).
Two-weeks is Not an unreasonable time to wait for police results, especially in this case convoluted with the "Carry" Law. I am confident any one of us would be expected to wait that long -- probably longer. But his parents couldn't do what the rest of us would do? I used to live near Sanford, it was a very small town and likely has a small police force?
It wasn't until about Mar 24-25th that the news went nationwide (if I recall)? Within a day or two I read a formal Sanford Police Memo that was published online giving details of the case. That was very reasonable. But by then people had incited to convict the poor guy based on slop that Team Obama put out, including his inflammatory remarks. No one wanted real information. And that is how race-baiting is done. They use people's ignorances to play them, they know exactly what to expect, and people let themselves be sucked right into it.
If the parents had not been UNreasonable in demanding results, things would've taken their natural course in this case just as they do in ever other killing.
JJ, from all I've read and heard, GZ didn't "hunt" the kid down. My skepticism is because, for example, the "police" did not "tell" him to "quit following" the boy, if you're referring to the 911 tapes I've heard. It was a 911 dispacher who replied, "You don't have to do that." Reports stated that GZ was under no obligation to abide by that reply.
If the boy hadn't done a variety of things, JJ, based on what has been reported, he would still be alive. If he did attack GZ or the situation was as GZ described, GZ's reaction was self defense. There is personal responsibility on both sides of the fence in every situation. Is this about finding someone to blame; or is this about doing the right thing in a civil manner?
No one, myself included, wants someone who is guilty to walk away. Or someone who is innocent to be held accountable. It's very unfortunate the media fed us so much disinformation. The police know what they're doing and they are the only ones who have real information. It is up to them to determine GZ's guilt or innocence based on facts; not ours based on media heresay or political manipulations that tweak unbridled racial devide.
It does take both, and in this instance there have been so many suckers.
The liberal media must be ignored about everything. This morning, they're going about deciding who Romney will select as his running mate, since in their minds Romney has always been the candidate and will become so because they so decided.

This is especially egregious because of inflammatory disinformation spewed by news reports, the photos being a prime example. People should be holding medias accountable. More importantly, people owe it to themselves (and to the rest of us) not to be so arrogant as to think they have some unspoken right to put themselves above the law. They were played by the media. That is the lesson they should be taking away until the police reach their own conclusions.
So what you've described as GZ "taking the law into his own hands," JJ, is not true IF what's been reported is true. IF what's reported is true and the boy did attack GZ with a pointed threat (that he was going to kill GZ), then GZ was in the right to defend himself/prevent his weapon from being taken. And neither of us are qualified to suggest the legal implications of the "Carry" law IF you're really talking about "law."
That's a lot of IFs and THAT is my whole point. You've already convicted the man without knowing all of the facts. Perhaps GZ does need to face a jury of his peers. If so, let that be exactly what happens. For sure. But it's not for you or us to make that determination, especially so those riled by disinformation that was reported.

Now is the time to accept that something in our country is terribly awry. The 'powers that be' (Progressives [Dems & Repubs, there are both]) are working feverishly to "transform" our country. That "transformation" is not unlike the prolonged pain and struggle of childbirth. The only question left to ask ourselves is, do we want tyranny or freedom? Those are the only two choices on the table. That is it all amounts to.
We must educate ourselves and those who are unaware to the manipulations; and those unaware must discipline themselves against overreactions to the manipulations. Old racial tensions are what's being used this time. OWS could easily be another, at a later time. Americans need to stand together, against the manipulators, not against one another. Understanidng what's happening is the key to doing that.
For exactly the reasons presented here and because I have commented all I care to on another blog, I will not waste my time commenting furhter here. More than a week has already been wasted which could have been more valuably spent considering the state of the nation, the implications of the crucial SC decision, and the 2012 election. That was part of the media's purpose in making such a big deal out of it in the first place.
That's one reason I didn't think I'd do an article on this subject. I'd hoped to keep it on the real (article) topic, but as you can see that didn't happen. We're being driven to the dry cleaners but as long as there's a chauffer in a black hat with smiles and 'yes ma'ams' and 'no sirs,' no one seems to mind. I'm really disgusted right now. Geesh.

There are many lessons to be learned from this case, the most important one is the politics of it. Just as America took the stance of not bartering with foreign terrorists, so should be our stance in not relenting to domestic ones.
What a sin it is that this president seeks to divide our People and an even bigger sin that we allow those political ruses to come to fruition. It is sad and so disheartening.
How is it that so many people cannot see that this is a deliberate effort by the president? If he were sincere, he would surely see the damage he has done and step down, admitting his failure as a leader. It is disheartening, indeed.
