Sometimes less is more. I've tried to add on to this, but everything I came up with seemed either too restrictive or too prescriptive.

Often I write and write and the words flow, then reach the point where they stop..like hitting the mire and no matter how I try, I can't get on with it, so I figure that is the end of it. Some poems end themselves. :)

A former colleague lost his nose to cancer. Fortunately, skilled plastic surgeons were able to reconstruct a nose for him. But on national TV news we see the insanity kind all the time.

Then there was the pop music star who lost his nose by having it changed so many times. Modern medicine--usually very good; sometimes not as good.

almost a Haiku on a very involved subject handled precisely and concise....The surgeon's knife has invaded me twice now by nesessity and I sure wouldn't think of elected cutting.

More to the point, what they do to appear forever young. I think it's not a cliche' to actually be forever young through the way we think and act. But then, that depends, on what one means by "young." We want our young uns to act their age and act mature.

Of course what he was was regularly the hero under the influence of a green plant substance, who had just beat the crap out of the villain. Thoroughly mixed message, but I guess it had an effect since I still remember it.

I know this might sound out there, but I think the creators/story writers for Popeye based this Cartoon on Shakespeare's Julius Caesar.
I hated spinach until I had it in Japan.
