'19 Kids and Counting' Star Michelle Duggar: Overpopulation is a Lie

Michelle Duggar, star of TLC’s 19 Kids and Counting, believes all the warnings about overpopulation of the Earth are a “lie”. In an interview with the Christian Broadcasting network, Duggar family matriarch Michelle Duggar said the whole “idea of overpopulation is not accurate” and those who believe in it are being “deceived”.

Jim Bob Duggar and Michelle Duggar currently have 19 children ranging in age from 2 to 24. Their eldest son, Joshua Duggar, already has two children of his own. Michelle Duggar miscarried a 20th child in December, but has not announced any plans to stop procreating at 45 years old.

It's an embarrassing example of ignorance and complacency, Michelle Duggar's inaccurate assertion that population is not an issue. She knows nothing of economics, food supplies, or science. And she is very clearly much better fed than the poorest 2 billion members of the human race.
It hurts me to be an American when other Americans say these sorts of things.
