Question, did you read the same article above which I read ??? I ask this because, I did not read anything in the article which even remotely pretained to or referred to President Obama.

Please save your sick un-natural hate for the president for those who are likeminded and wish to read such trash or at the very least, as a response to an aritcle on the subject of the presidency.

Gather News is a website devoted to those who are interested in debating current political issues. It is not a place for weak minded individuals to unload their vile nauseating filth on readers and debaters.

When compared to the left's attacks on conservative women, Sarah Palin to state the obvious among a long list, Limbaugh's attack on a girl who can't afford the amount of contraception she needs, I don't think it's even close. This isn't a concern for women it's a deflection for Obama. According to the polls nobody is buying your smoke and mirrors charades anymore.

And I back Rush's sponsors right to jump ship from his show and the right of radio stations to drop him like a hot potato.

So do I. Next time that happens to a lefty, don't cry that it's an attack on free speech.

With all due respect because I usually enjoy your work, Hefner is someone dear to my heart and you are WAY off base. You should have included his prior tweets 1. "If anyone at Playboy Radio agreed with Rush Limbaugh when he called a coed a "slut," he really didn't understand the controversy." 2. "In addition, supporting politically incorrect speech isn't the same as supporting hate speech." I can assure you that Mr. Hefner is no fan of Limbaugh, nor did he even suggest that he supported the PLAYBOY RADIO host in his comments. In fact, as you can see, he says otherwise. Hefner has been on the front lines against racism in many history changing ways (for instance, having blacks on his TV programs when it was not socially acceptable, having black performers in his clubs when most would not) and he is a fierce proponent of the First Amendment, women's rights and gay rights. Far from objectifying women, he ushered in the sexual revolution and has always been a champion of women's rights. Of all of the Playmates (over 600), very few (less than 4, I believe) have ever talked poorly of their experience or Hefner. Hef is a gentleman on a level you cannot even imagine. He remains friends with all but a handful of his exes and even at almost 86 years old, has women constantly trying to become one of his girlfriends. He is not out there beating the women and forcing them to pose. He brilliantly captured a market that the public was obviously desiring and made the most of it. Politics aside, he is quite simply someone I greatly admire and your headline is just nonsense.

The First Amendment relative to free speech has ONLY one reason to exist - to protect UNACCEPTABLE speech. Acceptable speech does NOT need protection.

Bill Maher defends Rush as well (or, well, at least his freedom of speech, I have a feeling he does not agree with what he says, but defends his right to say it). Of course Playboy and and Bill Maher will stand by free speech, as people have tried to shut them down before, as well.

Maree, this is sticky for me, while I am disgusted by the statements, we should be able to speak our minds, once we start condemning people from speaking, it seems like a slippery slope.... where does it end? I think we need to let the market decide. If people are offended, don't tune in (I don't), but to stifle speech seems like the worse of two evils. It reminds me of this story, where NYC is trying to ban words like "dinosaur", "dance", "divorce", etc from tests. How far do we go once we start censoring people?
