Give me my pink slime and no one gets hurt! Now, they are going to cut down on beef with my pink slime in it, so what happens.

Well according to this article on Gather, there is now going to be a beef shortage. I need my greasy onion burger. I don't care what color the slime is. Well, then again I do.

I realize no one, even me, wants green slime, but pink slime is rather pretty, and we've been eating it for years, happily, now some jerk is going to take it away from drive and drive up the price of ground beef.

Where will I get my onion burgers, with cheese, bacon, and lots of pickles? Huh?

I guess we can all get grinders or grinder attachments for our mixers and grind up beef ourselves. I often will buy a large piece of meat and have some of it ground up for me. Sometimes the large pieces cost less per pound than hamburger meat. I've been thinking about getting a grinder attachment. I have to admit... though, I thought, gee do I really need another thing to have to do???

In my part of the world, beef has gone up in price and we have been eating less of it because of that. In fact a pound of Boars Head beef hot dogs was going for $6.49... wow $6.49 a pound for hot dogs. I'll admit they are the best, but wow... that is the price of steak.... I'd rather have steak.

....and think of the people put out of work due to no more pink slime factories!

We were discussing the price of groceries and we decided that everyone was going to be forced onto an austerity diet by default because no one would be able to afford to feed themselves and support a house and gas for a vehicle!

Pink slime sounds gross but as you say, we've been eating it for years and none of us have died from it so.... I guess I don't see why getting rid of it now is going to make much difference...barn door and all that. As Heather C. says, guess we will have to start grinding our own hamburger now!
