Fox News personality Geraldo Rivera set off a firestorm when he made remarks about Trayvon Martin's hoodie being the reason that George Zimmerman shot the unarmed teen. Now the TV news personality has apologized, but it seems a bit (okay a lot) insincere.
First of all, the apology came late. Secondly, he did not actually admit he was wrong at all. In fact, this is what Geraldo Rivera wrote to Politico, "I apologize to anyone offended by what one prominent black conservative called my 'very practical and potentially life-saving campaign urging black and Hispanic parents not to let their children go around wearing hoodies.'" In an earlier apology statement, Rivera said, "[M]y own family and friends believe [that] I have obscured or diverted attention from the principal fact, which is that an unarmed 17-year old was shot dead by a man who was never seriously investigated by local police. And if that is true, I apologize."
So, how is that for your apology if you were one of the ones offended by the Trayvon Martin hoodie comment he made? Does it seem like a true apology to you? In fact, it may very well be worse than Rush Limbaugh's apology to Sandra Fluke. Geraldo actually had two chances to be sincere, and he was not. It's clear he is not sorry about his hoodie remark, which was frankly ridiculous.
This Trayvon Martin case is horrifying. An unarmed teen is dead, and now people are calling for George Zimmerman dead or alive, which is also not good. It seems like it will be tough for justice to be served here. What do you think? Is there any chance at justice for Trayvon now?

Trayvon Martin's biography increases in depth as journalists find the story to be a gold mine. Evidently the 6 foot 3 inch, 150 pound youth with was expelled from school three times and found once to have a screwdriver and twelve pieces of jewelry.
Zimmerman was punched in the face, had his nose broken and head slammed into the ground a few time. Zimmerman says Martin tried to get his gun and in the struggle it went off. There was a witness to at least part of that. Zimmerman was heard to be calling for help several times.

The problem with guns and men is that we tend to be less willing to sort through a problem when we are carrying. Now amp that up when a possible police wanna be is carrying and you have a bad outcome 9 out of ten times. I am sure if Zimmerman had followed you that night you may have reacted the same way Trayvon did. Would it have made a difference if you had been in trouble for speeding once or twice?? One has nothing to do with the other.
