Help me to identify my new puppy!

My new puppy is a mess. A lot of people say he is a boxer, but I was told he was a Shih tzu. I don't believe that for one second, but they had his "mother" next to him. He has small paws, and his fur is like a terrier. That's the part that worries me. I hope he is not a pit bull.

Any help you could give would be greatly appreciated. His name is Toby! The darling man in the photo on the right is my hubby resting his eyes after a long night with a crying pooch.

my wife - who is something of an informed individual says, certainly has some boxer - no WAY it is a pit bull - she doesnt see shih-zu buit hard to say - maybe a bit of ridgeback, or some terrior -

what - i know !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

its a DOG!!!!!!!!!

doesnt seem to have the boxer pug thing - maybe alittle chow mixed in?

any black/blue spots on the tongue?

I have ShitTzu and mixed ShitTzu I don't think there is any ShitTzu in him. Ask the vet they can tell you best. Boxer is a possibility, even if he did have some Pit its all on how you raise it.

I wish I knew what he was, but it's just too hard to tell when he's so small...
But, he does remind me a bit of a boxer
