(3/11/12)
This day Daddy wanted to make a big meal, and one of the dishes was to bake some biscuits from scratch. Kyleigh wanted to help.
After Daddy did most of the up-front work (i.e., turning flour into dough), Kyleigh took over the chef job.

Kyleigh had the idea of making some blue biscuits because blue is her favorite color. So Daddy put some blue food coloring in the dough.

"Yew, my thumb is blue!"

"Mommy, look! Blue marble biscuit!"

Kyleigh requested a "non-sharp knife" to cut up the extra dough into pieces. She looked like a real chef!

"Um-hum. Not bad."

The first batch of biscuits was done.

The second batch was also done, including her blue biscuit.

Let's try it with some honey.

"My blue biscuit is yummy!"

Cinese-American/Chinese-Canadian children are sooo cute!! I mentioned that my cousin married a wonderful Chinese man, and now they have their own sweet daughter. Kyleigh reminds me of her.

My sister-in-law has a bread machine so I wonder if our little Kali has helped her out too? Thanks for sharing this and I can almost smell the tasty aroma!
