Criminal Minds season 7 will be airing a two-hour finale, episodes 23, "Hit," and 24, "Run," on May 16, and as has been revealed, the team will be dealing with a hostage situation at a federal bank. Now there's some casting news out about what to expect.

According to TVLine, Tricia Helfer (Battlestar Galactica) will be appearing in the finale as "someone who is up to no good." It sounds like she has to be connected to that hostage situation then. Will she be working alone? The spoilers already released do reveal that one of the BAU is going to end up stuck in that hostage situation, but with the finale also slated to end on a happy note—with a wedding—as the episode says goodbye to Paget Brewster's Emily Prentiss again (she's going to definitely leave alive), there doesn't seem to be any real concern about one of the Criminal Minds profilers getting seriously injured.
It sounds like fans are in for a treat with the finale—not only is it two hours, but they're also bringing in Tricia Helfer (and who knows who else could be announced before the episodes air?) and setting up what sounds like two hours of tension, stress, happiness, and a bittersweet goodbye.
