On national Puppy day, one puppy, from a no kill shelter, became a hero; and saved the young volunteer who was walking him, from being raped!!
...The puppy kept barking, and that got the slime ball scared and he took off, leaving the young girl unmolested!!!
...The brave puppy has since been adopted by Mary Callahan, who did not know about her new pet's valiant actions until notified by WTSP.

..."I looked at my dog and I thought, 'You are a hero,'" Callahan told the broadcaster.

...They did catch the pervert, and he awaits his trial.

...Happy endings all around; except for the pervert, whose "ending" will be popped in prison...

I certainly did. I rescued my first Shih tzu Sailor from my step grandchildren who were neglecting him dreadfully and leaving him out in the elements. He worshipfully adored me and he became like a part of me. He developed a lot of physical problems (mostly due to prior lack of proper care and neutering) after I moved to TX but fought like crazy to beat them I think because he knew how much I needed him. I had to let him go because he was suffering and it nearly killed me. He was nearly 12 then. I wasn't going to get another because I didn't feel like I could love one like I did him. I lasted about 10 days before I went online and found a rescue Shis tzu who was 2 then and very healthy except for allergies. Thats the one in my profile pic-Emmett and we are joined at the hip. Fortunately he loves my sweetheart and vice versa.

...Except for when I am on the phone, and they start to sing and I can not hear the person on the other end.

...Each one has a distinct personality.
...Clyde is the sweetheart, always wanting petting or to be on my shoulder..
...Spot, is extremly playful, and likes to grab my hair as he flies by.
...Jolly, likes me to chase him, and he gets upset when I dont.
...AND ALL of them, for some unknown reason, blame me when the sun goes down.

Only if pet owners would quit allowing so many animals to breed just to end in shelters it would be wonderful. Not many animals are as lucky as this puppy was. Congratulations and a long happy life and her adoptive mommy.
Thank God the girl was saved and her would be rapist is going to pay.

That is why all no kill shelters spay and neuter before they pets, dogs or cats, are released.
While I lived on a farm, I had to shoot strays that people from the city had dropped off.
...The smaller dogs were the hardest to hit.
in 10 years, I had to kill over 100 that were trying to eat the cattle.
...That is why I support spay and neuter.
