What I did Wednesday.....

I converted a super single water bed to a double bed for my mother.  oh boy was that fun.

How to change a water bed to a double bed in 10 easy steps.

Step 1.  don't do it, lol

Step 2.  Drain water bed.  easier said then done you have to find something to suck out all the water.  we got a drill pump and after an hour and a bit we had the bad empty enough to lift out and throw it out on the lawn to let the rest of the water drain.

oh when I said we, I mean me.

Step 3.  cut both sides of the bed down to 77 inches.

Step 4.  cut down the press board that the bag was laying on.

Step 5.  add the cut off side pieces to the head and foot board using a bracket.

Step 6.  put bed frame on the press board making it looking like how the water bed looked before just wider and shorter.

Step 7.  put in double bed matteress

Step 8.  make the bed

Step 9.  clean up mess you make

Step 10.  swear that the next bright idea you come up with to make something out of something you already have hit lol

ended up being about an eight hour job from beginning to end.

came out awesome all the same.  She love it too.
