Toy maker Mattel has announced they will be producing a speal, custom collectible Katniss Everdeen Barbie doll in honor of The Hunger Games. Mattel’s Barbie Collector division is already in the process of producing the Katniss Barbie dolls, which will pay homage to Jennifer Lawrence’s character in the big screen adaption of Suzanne Collins‘ hit novel.
Although The Hunger Games is geared toward a young adult and teenage audience, the Katniss Barbie dolls will be “created specifically for the adult collector,†Mattell said in a press statement to The Hollywood Reporter.
