The Jessica Funk-Haslam case hasn't produced many new leads this week, but some comments made by officials are ominous to say the least. It's been a little over two weeks since the 13-year-old girl was discovered stabbed, beaten and strangled in a Sacramento baseball dugout. There have been no murder weapons found or any other published evidence in the case, nor have there been any suspects or persons of interest identified.
However, a deputy involved in the case says that anyone who hung out with or knew the young girl have the potential of becoming suspects in her homicide. That can't be sitting well with many, whether they be suspicious in nature or not.
Who murdered Jessica Funk-Haslam and why hasn't this case gotten much attention? You'd figure the brutal and senseless murder of a 13-year-old girl would get more media attention, or at the least more online discussion. Hopefully, detectives aren't being as slow as the news headline are making this investigation out to be.
