Josh Hutcherson is on the precipice of major stardom with his role in the Hunger Games, but he is not letting it all go to his head. He has not forgotten where he came from or the people who knew him when. Josh, who plays Peeta Mellark, says he will be heading home this weekend to enjoy the film with his friends and family in Union, Kentucky.
The country boy has been traveling across the country in an effort to promote the film. He has walked so many red carpets, he probably cannot keep them straight anymore. Fortunately, he will be able to ride out the opening weekend of the massive film in the comfort and somewhat privacy of his hometown.
Josh reveals his plans for the weekend, "I'm having a hometown screening for all my friends. It'll be very nice." The 19-year-old will be able to act like a normal guy, eating popcorn and hanging out with loved ones. He adds, "I'll be able to be with my family and friends."
This will probably be one of the last times he will be allowed such freedom. Once the movie hits theaters, it is expected to become a monster success. It could even rival the Twilight franchise. Everybody knows what kind of fame Robert Pattinson earned once the film hit theaters. Josh Hutcherson, the guy from a small town in Kentucky, will become Hutch, the guy paparazzi chase everywhere.
