I searched my user name of choice, Garden Gerty, the other day. I have been on one discussion site for six years. Members of that site know that it uses our quality posts on other websites that it owns. That is part of the funds that they pay users with.

I always assumed it would be political posts, or controversial posts that would be of interest to them. Not my style of posting. Low and behold I searched for dear old Garden Gerty and found two new websites that I liked. I am quoted on both. It surprised me. Entire discussions picked up and put there. One was about making reading fun, and the other one seemed to be related to running a household.

If you have a single user name that you post with, try searching for yourself. Gives new meaning to the term "finding myself."

Oh, this other site has political interests, they just are not where I generally post. I do not do controversial very well. I would rather help, or share fun knowledge.

There are some Gerty's out there who are not what I like either. And there is a site not related to me called gerty's garden. I think it also matters how you space it.

I have had my icon and user name for a while I did look look it up but didn't find anything. So unless I am under something else I guess I shouldn't worry too much.

I actually started this search because someone had posted a discussion about being "given" a nature name, by a guardian angel, or spirit guide, or the universe, or a higher power. I feel like Garden Gerty is my special name, but do not feel like it is a "nature name" unless Gerty is part of nature. . . so I wanted to know if there was a thing called a Gerty. . . but instead I found my words in discussions, which is okay by me, because I try to have positive posts every where.

I searched AmbiePam as it is pretty unique. I learned your location etc. from your MyLot profile. I learned your last name on Twitter. I found you in one of the sites I was on http://www.dirtalk.com/what-is-your-favorite-comic-strip.html This seems to be a website about having fun when you read.

I have not searched it out, but I am pretty sure Wasingertech owns it, as they lift entire discussions from MyLot and post there. I forget the name of the other site. I do not know exactly how to find out who owns that domain.

I am pretty certain this is a second or third website that is owned by one of my regular posting places. I understand they own about eight websites, maybe more. I sometimes find my Gather posts, but not often. I must not use the right words to come up on the search engines.
