Everything seemed to be going well when fans left the women of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills behind earlier this year, but there is some news out of the glamorous city. Dana Wilkey, a woman who was fighting to get a permanent spot on the show, has called off the engagement to her fiancé John Flynn and has cancelled the entire wedding. And this wasn't a relationship that blossomed due to her instant celebrity status because of the show. The two had been together for six years and have one child together.
In a statement to Life & Style, Dana opens up about her decision to leave her fiancé behind. "My fiancé and I have decided to go our separate ways. We realized that we've become more friends than romantic partners. It's better for us to break up and concentrate on our son right now." It does seem weird that the couple is breaking up now, considering some of the troubles they have gone through.
Flynn didn't like having his face associated with The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills and often threatened bloggers to remove his face from the websites. He even threatened legal action if it didn't happen. In addition, the couple has been named in a lawsuit for allegedly defrauding a business investor out of $35,000. Perhaps the stress of legal troubles and the lack of a secured role on the show caused the couple to struggle.
Hopefully, the single Dana can get more out of being on a reality show to start over.
