Spring Breakers has brought a lot of excitement to the Tampa Bay area, but some wish the Hollywood people would just go away. Vanessa Hudgens and Ashley Benson were shooting a scene for the movie that nearly shut down traffic during the morning rush hour.
Photos of the ladies racing across Ganby Bridge in a convertible red Lamborghini hit the news this morning. Although fans may be thrilled to see the ladies, some commuters were a bit frustrated by the delay. One Twitter user wrote, "good call filming during morning rush, morons." Apparently, filming caused eastbound lanes to be delayed at one point as the girls rolled in style. The delay was minimal and traffic was allowed to cruise on through the scene with the help of Tampa police.
Vanessa is in the passenger seat wearing a neon green tank with her hair billowing in the wind, while her pal and fellow "thug" wore a matching top and manned the wheel. The pictures are not the best quality, but you can take a look for yourself here. Ashley also posted a photo of the sleek car with her at the wheel. Although the action photos look like the ladies are cruising pretty fast, police say they led the girls and crew on a "slow roll" with speeds around 45 mph.
