2 Broke Girls continues with episode 19, "And the Spring Break," which shows Max and Caroline doing something new to make money for their cupcake business.
A New Job?
Caroline is disappointed they haven't gotten a new job through their website. It's 3 a.m. and Max is tired and spilling batter on herself, but that's when they get a visit from Oleg...in a kimono. He wants to borrow "sensual oils," preferably edible, since he's having sex with Sophie, who joins him and requests no peppermint since it makes his tongue—his best part—swell.
Sophie asks Max and Caroline to keep the previous night just between them. Max points out Steve and Michael, Caroline's "favorite gays," who asked Han if he was gay. Caroline makes her join her in saying hello and says they need to make sure they think their business is successful so they recommend them to their friends. They compare Max to Madeleine Stowe in Revenge, the story of which Caroline calls "too close to home."
Caroline tells Max they offered her $600 to dog-sit for two days while they're out of town. She compares it to a paid vacation...four blocks away. Max plans to take a "masturbacation" at home while she's gone, but Caroline wants her to come with her. They'll split the money to cover the shifts they'll be taking off the diner. They overhear Oleg and Sophie having sex in the kitchen, and after, Sophie tries to sneak out past the girls.
2 Broke Girls on Vacation
Caroline's dressed for a vacation and walking her "Spring Break walk" as they approach Steve and Michael's apartment. They accidentally go to the wrong door and meet Brendon. Caroline introduces herself as Ashley (she never uses her name on vacations for security). Max continues to point out all the stereotypes about the couple, and they find a book of instructions for them, including squeezing one of the dog's anal glands.
Caroline and Max sit back and relax in portable saunas, but when she looks in the fridge, she doesn't find what she expected and notes the other things that are different than what she thought. While looking for a take-out menu, she finds a flier for a Food Network party. Max agrees to go if she can take one of the small dogs. Caroline invites Brendon.
At the party, Caroline's a bit disappointed, but Max is having fun carrying around a dog. Caroline and Brendon leave her to find something shiny for later, and Zeke approaches Max and tells her she can't have a dog there. When Caroline overhears a blogger wanting to find something new, she tells her about the cupcake business, introducing herself as Elle's style editor. She runs to tell Max about it, but Max says they were supposed to leave business aside while on vacation. She introduces her to Zeke, whom she was planning to bring back to the apartment for fun, but Caroline brings up after-parties. Max tells her to go and returns to Zeke.
Caroline returns to the apartment to find Zeke and Brendon in the personal saunas and brings Max into the hall to tell her they're going on a real vacation. She was successful at an after-party. Max argues they're having a good vacation already, but Caroline tells her she just doesn't know a good vacation. That's when the blogger emails the website and says if they drop off cupcakes by the next morning, she'll write about them.
Max gets to baking and tells Caroline to stop freaking out just because she's not where she wants to be in her life. Even though she's never been anywhere, Max likes that it means she has new experiences. Caroline makes the "something new" face when she tries Max's beer-battered maple bacon Spring Break cupcake. She likes it.
Earl welcomes Max and Caroline back to the diner. When Steve and Michael return, Han tells them he's straight. They tell Max and Caroline they'll pay them more because Caroline didn't realize squeezing the dog's anal gland was a joke. When they tell them their business isn't even that great, they say it should after people see the blogger's blurb.
