Yes, we all know the story of how Eve ate an apple offered to her by a serpent in the Garden of Edan. Eve offered the apple to Adam who also ate it. Doesn't this make Adam just as guilty as Eve?
Later in the Bible this sin is dredged up again, and used to keep women quiet.
1 Timothy 2:11-14
A woman must learn quietly with all submissiveness. But I do not allow a woman to teach or exercise authority over a man. She must remain quiet. For Adam was formed first and then Eve. And Adam was not deceived, but the woman, because she was fully deceived, fell into transgression.
Eve was offered an apple. She ate the apple. Adam was offered an apple, and he ate the apple. So how is it that woman was "fully deceived" and adam was not? What does "fully" mean? Yo're either deceived, or your not.
If Adam and Eve were equally deceived, why are they not equally punished? Why, as it states in Genises, does Adam get to rule over Eve, and that her desire is for him? She may have been foolish enough to give him the apple, but he was foolish enough to accept it from her.
