The homicide investigation of Jessica Funk-Haslam is appearing to gain momentum as new details have surfaced and detectives are seeking persons of interest and witnesses. Will this gruesome case be solved soon due to the diligence of the Sacramento detectives?
It appears that new details have risen in the case of slain 13-year-old Jessica Funk-Haslam. Police say that surveillance footage captured in the area near the discovery of the girl's body show a "suspicious" man. The police also revealed that it's believed that the girl was in the park for some time with someone she knew before she was killed.
"I think she was there for some period of time with somebody she knew and was comfortable with," said Tony Turnbull, a detective with Sacramento County Sheriff's Department.
The strange man seen on surveillance was captured running from the park around the time Jessica Funk-Haslam was murdered. He was captured dodging into a side street while a vehicle drove past before reemerging. Could this suspicious individual be the man responsible for the teen's murder?
