When a celebrity couple like Jennie Garth and Peter Facinelli split up, the tabloids begin speculation about why. Obviously, there must be some sort of dirt out there, right? In this case the rumors are about Peter having a 20-something Canadian mistress.
The thing is, even if the Canadian mistress existed, Jennie Garth and Peter Facinelli are refusing to divulge any dirt. In a joint statement, the two (who have kids together) are taking the high-road in regards to the rumors:
There are rumors out there which are completely untrue and hurtful to our family. We just want to make it very clear, there are no third parties involved.
One can't blame the tabloids for jumping straight to rumors of cheating. On more than occasion a celebrity has strayed to the point of ruining a marriage... Ashton Kutcher or Tiger Woods, anyone? The job of a tabloid is to sell papers, right?
Still, it is nice to hear Jenni Garth and Peter Facinelli try to keep the rumors down to a minimum, especially for the sake of their kids, whether there is any truth to them or not.

How an alleged affair with Peter Facinelli suddenly went to the ‘you got to be kidding me’ vernacular that had this editor/publisher wagging his tongue in disbelief…to the diabolical actions of illegal tampering, switching and baiting and sudden denial.
