Amanda Knox will not be the first person to pen a book about her experience in Italy. Her ex-boyfriend Raffaele Sollecito will. He has signed a book deal in which he will detail the Italian murder case.
The 27-year-old signed a deal with Simon & Schuster's Gallery Books, and it will hit bookshelves in the fall. Amanda Knox's book is not scheduled until sometime next year meaning her ex-boyfriend will beat her to the punch with this story.
The name of Sollecito's forthcoming book seems to sum up the situation fairly well. It is called Presumed Guilty: My Journey to Hell and Back with Amanda Knox. In the book, he will tell his story and how he refused to betray his ex-girlfriend to get himself off the hook. It seems like the temptation to change his story would have been great. Do you believe that because he never changed it, he was telling the truth?
Knox's book deal was for $4 million. Do you think that Sollecito's is worth as much or more? Would you be interested in reading a book about this world-famous case? Do you think the two, or one of them, were truly guilty of murdering Meredith Kercher?
