Dancing with the Stars 2012 has a slight scandal on its hands due to a Radar Online report claiming Sherri Shepherd began rehearsing with Maks Chmerkovskiy back in December at his dance studio in LA. Maks' brother, Val Chmerkovskiy, is Sherri's pro dance partner for DWTS 2012 season, which made the initial post on Radar Online inaccurate that she was aware of who she was going to be paired with.
On ABC's The View, Shepherd defended herself against the report she was practicing for season 14 before the official announcement was made on February 28th. Sherri Shepherd said she loves dancing and had taken dance lessons from Maks' dance studio way before she even signed on to do Dancing with the Stars 2012. Although Shepherd took lessons at Maks' studio, she's never danced with him or his brother before the DWTS 2012 cast was released.
An eyewitness claimed to Radar Online that Sherri was seen dancing in December with Maks and that somehow gave her a leg up on the competition.
The show begins next Monday night and now rumors and scandalous speculations are about to surface. If it's not about a celebrity getting close with a dance partner, it's about an unfair advantage.
Dancing with the Stars 2012 premieres Monday, March 19th on ABC at 8:00 p.m., ET/PT.
