When GBTV officially launched, Glenn Beck said that it was going to fundamentally transform television and the way people got their news.
â€œWe are on the edge of something that is bigger than industrial revolution,â€ Beck said in an interview with The Wall Street Journal. â€œWeâ€™re taking on the big guys."
Some 120 people now work in the wider Beck kingdom, which is expected to bring in $80 million in revenue this year, according to the same person. The business is flush enough now to afford two setsâ€”the one in New York and a second in Dallas, where the networkâ€™s headquarters is being builtâ€”the capital of Glenn Beck Inc.
â€œItâ€˜s scary to go out and not take someone elseâ€™s money,â€ Beck said. â€œBut I wanted to be my own man, and say, â€˜Look at what we built.â€™â€
