It's been almost 3 weeks since 17 year old Trayvon Martin of Sanford Florida was murdered by 28 year old George Zimmerman, the self appointed protector of his little gated community. The police know that Zimmerman killed Martin, he admitted to it at the crime scene, yet Zimmerman has not been arrested or charged.
George Zimmerman called 911 reporting a "suspicious person", which in this context means a 17 year old kid walking to his dad's house while black. The 911 dispatcher told Zimmerman not to follow him but he did anyway. Minutes later Zimmerman pulled out a gun and shot Trayvon Martin in the chest killing him.
When police arrived Zimmerman admitted to killing the teen and said it was an act of self defense. It turns out Trayvon was packing heat, if by heat you mean a bag of Skittles for his little brother and a can of Arizona Iced Tea for himself. So of course the police arrested Zimmerman right? Nope. An innocent 17 year old boy is dead and his murderer hasn't even been charged because the worthless racist pigs at the Sanford Police Department supposedly couldn't find any evidence that the shooting wasn't an act of self defense.
tl;dr - A 17 year old kid was murdered for walking while black, his murderer confessed, said murderer is free to go.
