FUE or Follicular Unit Extraction is one of the latest methods of hair transplant. The difference of FUE from other transplant operation is that it is less invasive. It involves using precision tools, which are utilized to harvest one follicle of hair at a time.
Like any other medical and aesthetic methods, FUE has its own advantages and disadvantages. One of the many advantages of using this method is the less invasive approach. In addition, compared to other hair transplant methods, the process results only very small cuts, leaving you with easy-to-hide scars.
On the other hand, one of the hitches concerning FUE is the hair follicles become more vulnerable after extraction, making this method less effective compared to Follicular Unit Transplantation or FUT. Another issue for most patients is the need to shave the whole donor area, although not all feel uncomfortable with it.
Nevertheless, despite some advantages, many people still opt to go under FUE method instead of other available transplantation techniques. Since it is less-invasive, most patients can resume their normal lifestyle shortly after the process. Because the doctor creates only tiny slits, recovery is faster, which means shorter downtime and they can resume their everyday activities sooner.
