Prince Harry hit the ground running, almost literally in Brazil, taking part in a one mile foot race. He poked fun at his brother by wearing a mask of Prince William's face. It's a wonder Harry could see where he was going. The mask was given to him by another runner, who had been thinking of wearing it, reports People magazine, but the allure of royalty masks must have dimmed, with genuine royalty in the group. That's why Harry wore the thing himself. It went with his efforts to make this Diamond Jubilee tour fun for all.

Saturday was a day of sport, and just the right kind of action for a guy's guy like Prince Harry: the race, some beach volleyball on Praia do Flamengo, following a trip up Rio de Janeiro's Sugar Loaf mountain by cable car.
There was dancing too. Samba lessons in action. "Everything about Rio makes you want to dance," he said. "I'm just glad my brother isn't here," Prince Harry joked, poking a little more fun, "because he might do it, and that would not be cool."
Taking the fun seriously, the younger British prince has done a masterful job of charming everyone around the Caribbean and now onto the South American mainland. He is filling an important role, which includes British trade interests as well as his own charitable activities. He can put on a coat and tie or a flashy uniform with perfect composure. But whenever possible, Prince Harry sheds the work clothes and starts having fun with the locals. It's a good thing.
