Yes, this is interesting to me, because Dick Van Dyke comes from the town I work in...and it was brought to my attention...It really doesn't matter to me, but people were talking what do you think? Here is a link...

There is also Gene Hackman, and others...do you have anyone famous from your town?

No one famous from the town I live in that I know of, but towns close by were originally the homes of John Malkovich, Laurie Metcalf, and Gene Rayburn. Some celebrities like Jim Belushi and Dick Gregory went to the university nearby and George Harrison's sister Louise lived in the area for several years.

Gosh, Memphis has a number of celebrities from here, and some live here. Just don't ask me where, but, I do know where Elvis' house is. Cybil Shephard had/has a home here, Justin Timberlake is from these parts, Morgan Freeman doesn't live far from Memphis, Issac Hayes had a home here, Dixie Carter, The Bar-kays, FedEx Fred Smith, Danny Thoms, Food Network's Pat and Gina Neely and FN Claire Roberts, and of course 'The King' Elvis Presley. yes I do but it mite not be anyone on would know, there was a guy from smethport PA and when I was in High school and went to school with a couple of his family members. He wrot a song called Smethport USA and his last name was Austin I beleive his first name was Stan. I use to have this record on a 45 I'm not sure if I still Do but if anyone is interested I'll have my husband go up stairs and look in the storage area which is the whole second floor of my house he made in to a one story. I have a bok of 45's and 33's up there.

Wow, I didn't realize Dick Van Dyke is that old........but hey, why not? I think that Roger Williams, a famous pianist, was from our city.....and John Wayne was from our state, not too far from our city!

not sure yet Kevin Costner is alway here in town,, when his team play college world series,, I have ties to him. so I know when and where he is at. he also play in a band when he comes.. bet you all didnt know that one..
