Josh Hutcherson better be prepared for what's probably going to happen to him after The Hunger Games hits theaters—a recent poll has him beating Robert Pattinson in a battle of the hotties.
Up until he was cast in the movie based on the popular young a
dult book, Josh was probably best known for his roles in The Kids Are All Right and Journey to the Center of the Earth, although some fans might remember him starring alongside Kristen Stewart in Zathura: A Space Adventure. However, it's safe to say that he's about to experience the same thing his old co-star did—just like Kristen, he will forever be known foremost for one film franchise.
The fame he will soon gain from The Hunger Games was very evident in a Twitter poll conducted by omg!—the site recently asked its Twitter followers to choose their weekly "Friday Fittie" out of some of the hottest guys in Hollywood, and Josh Hutcherson came out on top, beating the likes of Robert Pattinson, Taylor Lautner, and Adam Lambert.
Voters used words like "cute," "adorable," and "friendly" to describe the actor, but what gave him the edge over Rob? Perhaps some girls just have really short attention spans—the Twihards have enjoyed crushing hard on Rob, but now they're ready to move on to the next big thing. Or maybe they just got tired of waiting for Robert Pattinson to break up with Kristen Stewart—as far as everyone knows, Josh is currently single, so being available could have given him an advantage.
Josh Hutcherson's attitude might also be winning him more fans—he does seem a lot more upbeat, cheerful, and open than Rob. And of course the fact that he plays beloved character Peeta probably helped him win the poll this week.
