"It was all a dream, I used to read Word Up magazine" echoed the famous words of rapper Biggie Smalls on "Juicy," his first major hit. On Friday, the Twitter site was buzzing to the point that "#RIPBIG" became a top trend. It's no surprise that one of the biggest rappers in the industry continues to be remembered 15 years after his death. Christopher Wallace was tragically gunned down in Las Vegas, in what was believed to be a gang-related incident. There had been speculation and rumors that it was all part of a beef involving fellow rapper Tupac.On March 9th, various hip hop media and personalities are remembering Wallace's legacy. The Source magazine was made even more famous in a lyric from Biggie's classic song "Juicy." The Source tweeted in rememberance of B.I.G. several tweets including:
"...Smiles every time my face is up in The Source..." ---Notorious B.I.G. #RIPbig

ON BET's Twitter account they've tweeted several lines, links, and facts from B.I.G. including this tidbit:
"#BETBigFact Notorious B.I.G.'s nickname, Biggie Smalls, was a gangster's name in the 1975 film LET'S DO IT AGAIN. #RIPBIG"
In rememberance of Biggie Smalls, BET will be showing a special at 6PM EST on its channel Friday night. A video below from BET shows various rap stars remembering Biggie on the 15th anniversary of his death. Included are Lil Fame of M.O.P., Lil Cease, Nino Brown, and Ranger, who were infamous for the association with Junior MAFIA and Notorious B.I.G. It's impressive how even to this day, his legacy has continued its reach, showing just how special he was in hip hop and the music industry overall.
