My pretty Daffodils. (Early Spring 2012)

The last week of November last year I planted some daffodil bulbs in the rain.  We were supposed to have a freeze that week and I was afraid I had waited too late to plant my bulbs so I decided to plant them that day even though it was raining.  I worried that they just might not come up because of the late planting.  It is now the first week of March and just look at my pretty daffodils.  They came up and are now blooming.  They are beautiful.  I also have an iris blooming right along beside them.  Now I have to get the bed ready for the annuals that I plan to plant from seed and I don’t intend to wait too late to plant them.

Lovely! I love the drawing, too. Ha ha ha. You might end up with a lot of iris plants. The daffodils multiply, but the iris I've seen *really* spreads.

I had to go outside in the cold to see if my irises were doing anything. It's still too cold.

It will be a month or so before we get daffodils and tulips.........I am so ready!! Iris usually don't bloom here until around Memorial Day along with the peonies!! Love your picture,too, Lee............

Your flowers are beautiful, Lee. So is the drawing. After three nice spring days we are supposed to have snow flurries tonight and tomorrow with 2 to 4 inches of snow. So I guess our flowers have to wait a while longer.

Very lovely! Every time I've tried planting daffodils, they've died.....every lousy time! I finally got mad and figured maybe I could find some really lovely "plastic" daffodils and plant them all over our yard........they might look almost as nice.....LOL!!!
Right now, most of the grass in our front yard is gone (thanks to our dog)....we have a lovely yard full of "mud and dirt!"

Daffodils are one of my favorite spring flowers. I usually buy some from my grandson's school each March when they sell daffodils for the American Cancer Society. I missed out this year because Jr no longer lives with us and we are not communicating with his mother. Maybe this fall I will plant some bulbs.

Wow, how pretty. I am waiting for our crocuses to come up. I have 2 bunches of chives that have come up already and I have buds on azaleas and lilacs.
