At the end of December of 2012, Aliahna Lemmon went missing from her Indiana trailer park home. Her disappearance quickly gained high-profile status but ended just days later on a heartbreaking note. The seven-year-old girl had been murdered and dismembered, and the man entrusted to care for her and her sisters had allegedly confessed.
The child's cause of death has been revealed by coroners and it appears that Michael Plumadore was being truthful in his confession to FBI officials. Aliahna Lemmon died from blunt force trauma and what is described as "suffocation injuries." Michael Plumadore confessed to bludgeoning the seven-year-old child with a brick before dismembering her body and disposing of it in two different locations.
As of now there are still no published motives behind this killing, but the speculation surrounding this case is heavy. It is a known fact that the trailer park in which this child resided was a known "sex offender haven," with as many as 16 trailers housing registered offenders. Fortunately, the ugly mark left on this property won't last for long as the trailer park is now for sale. Who would buy it, though?
