Welcome to Big East Tournament 2012 bracket scores and results coverage! This latest article will provide the UCONN vs. Syracuse live updates for Thursday's quarterfinals game on television and live streaming online!
The Big East Tournament live games get started at 12 p.m. Noon EST on Thursday with the Quarterfinals round at Madison Square Garden. These games are being shown on ESPN, as well as live streaming online for free at ESPN's broadband sports site. That first game features a highly-intriguing matchup between the re-energized Connecticut Huskies, and the #2 ranked Syracuse Orange.
Heading into this tournament game, Syracuse has just one loss on the NCAA season, to Notre Dame. Connecticut has lost many more games, and hasn't really looked like the champions they were in 2011 now that Kemba Walker has departed. However, after three straight wins since their coach Jim Calhoun has returned, the team seems to have new life.
There's no better time to have that life than during March Madness. About a week and a half ago, Connecticut held a double digit lead on Syracuse but ended up losing the game by 2 points after failing to score at the buzzer. Now the Huskies will look to avenge that loss and continue their magical ride in the Big East Tournament.
However, with just one loss, Syracuse has played better than almost any team in the country, with the exception of Kentucky. They've also had a double bye, giving them two days of rest in this tournament situation. They're now looking to try to return to the Big East championship game, and potentially another Final Four for their coach Jim Boeheim. Will they have enough for UCONN, or will the Huskies continue their momentum after two straight wins? As it's been previously reported, these two teams tend to take it to the limits when they play in the conference tournament, so Thursday may be another exciting game!
