Although there were no jackpot winner in Tuesday's drawing, there were seven (7) Match 5 + 0 winners for $250,000 each. The lottery winners matched five out of six Mega Millions winning numbers, but not the Mega Ball number for the second-tier prize.
The winners purchased their lucky lottery tickets from the California Lottery, Georgia Lottery, Illinois Lottery, Pennsylvania Lottery, Washington Lottery, and two (2) winning tickets from the Michigan Lottery. Any winners also holding Megaplier tickets for this wager will see their prize winnings automatically increased to $1,000,000! Not a bad return for a $2 investment!
There were also forty-six (46) Match 4 + 1 winners for $10,000 each. The Megaplier number for March 6th was X 4, so anyone that has a Megaplier ticket for this winning wager will be thrilled when their prize winnings are multiplied by 4 for $40,000 instead. That's worth the extra dollar! Can you imagine missing out on an extra $30,000 because you didn't want to spend one dollar? The next Mega Millions drawing is March 9, 2012 at 11:00pm ET. Friday's estimated jackpot is $148,000,000 annuity, or $108,000,000 cash-value before taxes. Mega Millions winning numbers are drawn Tuesday and Friday evenings at WSB-TV in Atlanta, Georgia. Tickets are sold in 41 states plus the District of Columbia and the U.S. Virgin Islands. The final Mega Millions results are usually available within a few hours of the drawing.
